We started with Cafe Americano and orange juice with pastries. The is a good variety of coffee drinks. Later we split an Uruguayan Chivito sandwich, which was delicious. The service was attentive and the atmosphere encourages leisurely enjoyment of your meal with good people watching of the activity on the street. The menu is extensive with sandwiches, pizzas, and empañadas. There is also a full bar. ”

“ Cafetería Valerio is a beautiful throwback to the charm of old Buenos Aires. The atmosphere is warm and traditional, with a timeless feel that makes you instantly comfortable. What truly sets it apart are the thoughtful details—like the complimentary cookies and a small glass of fresh orange juice served alongside the coffee and water. It’s the kind of gesture that makes you feel genuinely cared for. The coffee itself is excellent, and the service is kind and attentive without being rushed. A wonderful place to slow down, enjoy the moment, and appreciate classic hospitality done right. ”
“ Nice cafe with tasty food and sweets. The prices are as expected for this location. When I walked in they had quiet Café-Style music playing, so I decided to sit down. Twenty minutes later I'm listening to louder disco music, which ruined the atmosphere. Bringing the waiter's attention to this didn't help; I don't think he understands the problem. He likes the music so thinks that everybody should be forced to listen to it. Hint: if you want to be an upmarket cafe you should try to create an upmarket atmosphere. All in all a great shame. ”
